Big Walk Big Ride Achievement: How to Unlock It

Activate the Train, then board its rideable platform. Unlocking the railway alone does not trigger Big Ride.

Big Ride is tied to the Train itself. The trigger is entering the Train’s rideable platform, not inserting the Blue Key or opening the railway.

Complete the Blue route so the railway is active, then get onto one of the trains. Big Ride is tied to entering the Train’s rideable platform, not simply inserting the Blue Key or activating the network.

You do not need to visit every station or complete a full circuit.

How to Unlock Big Ride

Three steps. Only the last one is the achievement trigger.

  1. 1. Unlock the Train

    If the Train is not running yet, finish the Blue Key route first.

  2. 2. Wait for a Train

    Go to an active station and wait for a Train to arrive.

  3. 3. Board It

    Step onto the Train and ride with it. Getting onto the Train itself is what registers the Train medal.

If the platform achievement has not updated, board again before replaying the whole Blue route.

What Actually Triggers Big Ride?

Big Ride is attached to the Train, not to the Blue Key unlock.

The achievement logic sits on the Train itself. When your player enters the Train’s rideable platform, the Train medal can be awarded. That is why unlocking the railway and riding it are separate states.

Unlocking the Train vs Riding It

Two different states. Only the second one awards Big Ride.

Unlocking the Train

Finishing the Blue route places the finished key and opens the railway. At that point the Train system is available, but Big Ride has not fired.

Riding the Train

Boarding the Train puts you on its rideable platform, which is where the achievement is attached. This is the state that awards the Train medal.

Big Ride Not Unlocking?

Work down the list. The first line that is still true is the one to fix.

1. Is the Train actually unlocked?

If the Train will not move at all, this is a Train problem, not an achievement problem. Fix the system first.

2. Did you board the Train?

Standing at the station or inserting the Blue Key is not the same as entering the Train trigger. You have to get on the Train.

3. Did you get onto the Train itself?

The station platform, the station building and the railway unlock all sit outside the trigger. The trigger is the Train’s rideable platform.

4. Try stepping off and boarding again

The medal fires on entering the platform, so leaving and re-entering the Train surface is a reasonable way to re-check it. Treat this as a retry, not a required step.

5. Platform achievement delayed?

The in-game medal and the Steam or PS5 notification can update at different times. Check your platform achievement list before replaying the entire Blue route.

Train Not Running?

What Big Ride Does Not Require

These come up often, but none of them is required.

  • Every Train station

    Boarding the Train is the trigger, not collecting stops. There is no stop count to reach.

  • A full loop

    You do not have to complete a full circuit. Getting onto the rideable platform is what registers the medal.

  • A specific train colour

    More than one Train runs on the network, and no colour is required.

  • A specific station

    No station is named, so which stop you board at does not change it.

Anything beyond boarding the Train is not confirmed yet — feedback welcome.

On Steam, Big Ride is an achievement. On PS5, the same unlock appears as a trophy. The Platinum and the full trophy list are covered on the achievements page.

Come si sblocca Grande gita in Big Walk?

Attiva la ferrovia tramite il percorso Blu, poi sali su uno dei treni. La medaglia del treno viene assegnata quando entri nella piattaforma percorribile del treno.

Basta sbloccare il treno?

No. Sbloccare il treno e attivare Grande gita sono stati distinti: l’obiettivo segue il treno su cui sali, non lo sblocco della ferrovia.

Devo fare il giro completo in treno?

No. Nessun requisito verificato riguarda un giro completo. L’attivatore è entrare nella piattaforma percorribile del treno.

Devo visitare ogni stazione del treno?

No. Nell’attivatore recuperato non compare alcun numero di fermate.

Il colore del treno conta?

Nessun colore fa parte dell’attivatore. Qualsiasi treno sulla ferrovia attiva dovrebbe andare bene.

Grande gita richiede una stazione specifica?

Nell’attivatore non è indicata alcuna stazione, quindi il punto in cui sali non cambia nulla.

Perché Grande gita non si è sbloccata quando ho attivato il treno?

Attivare la ferrovia è il prerequisito, non l’attivatore. Devi comunque salire su un treno. Guida al treno

Perché Grande gita non si è sbloccata dopo che sono salito?

Scendi dal treno e risali. La medaglia viene assegnata quando si entra nella superficie del treno, quindi risalire ripete lo stesso controllo.

Si può perdere Grande gita?

Nessuna condizione irripetibile fa parte dell’attivatore. Se non è scattato, sali di nuovo sul treno.

Devo fare prima la Torre Blu?
