Big Walk Big Sit Achievement: How to Unlock It

Unlock the Chairlift through the Green route, then actually sit in a ChairLift car. Big Sit is tied to the Chairlift’s riding pose, not the unlock itself.

Big Sit is tied to the ChairLift cars themselves. The trigger is entering the sitting pose on a car, not unlocking the lift or standing at a terminus.

Quick Answer

Unlock the Chairlift through the Green route, then board a ChairLift car and enter its sitting pose. The achievement is attached directly to the cars, so unlocking the system or standing at a terminus does not count.

Nothing beyond sitting in a car is required.

That is a progression problem, not an achievement problem. Finish the Green Key route so the Chairlift becomes available.

How to Unlock Big Sit

Three steps. Only the last one is the achievement trigger.

  1. 1. Make the Chairlift available

    If the lift is still locked, finish the Green Key route first.

  2. 2. Go to a terminus

    The Chairlift has a Start Terminus and an End Terminus. Either end works, so use whichever one you can reach.

  3. 3. Sit in a ChairLift car

    Board a car and stay in the sitting pose. The cars carry the medal logic, so the seat is the achievement trigger.

If the achievement has not appeared, ride another car before replaying the whole Green route.

What Actually Triggers Big Sit?

Big Sit is attached to the ChairLift cars, not to the Green Key unlock.

The achievement logic lives on the cars themselves. It checks your pose while you are using the chair, so the medal is awarded from the car rather than from the lift system being open. That is why unlocking the Chairlift and sitting in it are separate states.

Unlocking the Chairlift vs Sitting in It

Two different states. Only the second one awards Big Sit.

Unlocking the Chairlift

Finishing the Green route places the finished key and opens the lift. At that point the Chairlift is available, but Big Sit has not fired.

Sitting in a car

Boarding a car puts your player into the riding pose the car is checking for. This is the state that awards the Chairlift medal.

Big Sit Not Unlocking?

Work down the list. The first line that is still true is the one to fix.

1. Did you actually sit in the chair?

Standing beside a car, jumping on the frame or touching the cable machinery does not put you in the pose. You have to be seated in the car itself.

2. Was the Chairlift active?

If the lift is not usable yet, this is a Chairlift problem rather than an achievement problem.

3. Try another car

The pose logic sits on more than one car, so it is not tied to one special chair. If a car did not register you, step off and let another one take you.

4. Stay seated for a moment

Give the riding pose time to register before you step off. No minimum sitting time is published, so a couple of seconds is a retry, not a requirement.

5. Platform achievement delayed?

The in-game medal and the Steam or PS5 notification can update at different times. Check your platform achievement list before replaying the whole Green route.

What Is Not Proven to Be Required

These come up often, but none of them is required.

  • A full trip to the other end

    You do not have to ride all the way. The cars check your pose, not your arrival at the far terminus.

  • One specific terminus

    Both ends of the lift can be used to board, and neither one is named as the required starting point.

  • One specific chair

    The same pose logic sits on more than one car, so no single numbered chair has to be the one you take.

  • Reaching the highest point

    That belongs to Big Climb. Sitting on the lift does not depend on where the line ends.

  • A fixed sitting time

    No specific number of seconds is required. Stay in the seat long enough for the pose to register.

Big Sit vs Big Climb

Both involve the Chairlift, but they are two different achievements with two different triggers.

Big Sit

Awarded from a ChairLift car while you are seated on it.

Big Climb

Awarded from the peak itself. The Chairlift can carry you toward that area, but sitting on it does not award the summit achievement.

Comment débloquer « Grand siège » dans Big Walk ?

Débloquez le télésiège via la route verte, puis montez dans un siège et asseyez-vous. La médaille est octroyée par le siège, pas par l’ouverture du télésiège.

Non. Que le télésiège soit disponible vous donne seulement un endroit où vous asseoir : le succès lui-même appartient aux sièges.

Oui. Le déclencheur est la pose de trajet sur un siège : rester à une station ou à côté d’un siège ne suffit donc pas.

Dois-je aller jusqu’à l’autre bout ?

Non. Rien dans le déclencheur ne dépend de l’arrivée à la station opposée.

Grand siège exige-t-il une station de télésiège précise ?

Non. L’une ou l’autre extrémité du télésiège peut servir de point d’embarquement.

Faut-il un siège précis ?

Non. La même logique de pose se trouve sur plusieurs sièges : vous n’avez donc pas à en trouver un en particulier.

Combien de temps dois-je rester assis ?

Aucun nombre de secondes précis n’est exigé. Restez en pose de trajet assez longtemps pour qu’elle soit enregistrée avant de descendre.

Pourquoi « Grand siège » ne s’est-il pas débloqué après que je suis monté dans le télésiège ?

Assurez-vous d’avoir été assis dans un siège et non debout sur la structure, puis essayez un autre siège et laissez la pose se stabiliser avant de descendre.

Prendre le télésiège débloque-t-il aussi « Grande ascension » ?
